Pearl gemstones are not minerals but organic in nature, naturally found in color shades of white, creamish to grey. Pearls are formed inside Oysters and Molluscs when a particle or irritant enters the oyster shell and it generates a smooth substance known as nacre (calcium carbonate and conchiolin)) to cover the foreign particle and over years the pearl is formed naturally.
