Lord Hanuman is one of the most popular Deities in Sanatan Dharma. He is son of Pawan Dev hence He is also known as Vayuputra or Pawanputra. Other names of Lord Hanuman are Anjaneya, Bajrangbali, Maruti, Kesari Nandan, Sankata Mochana among many others. In Sanatan Dharm (Hinduism) Lord Hanuman is one of the Chiranjeevis (Immortals) and hence it is believed that worshipping Lord Hanuman is very beneficial and meritorious. Lord Hanuman is ‘Sankat Mochan’ meaning the destroyer of all problems and obstacles for His devotees. Lord Hanuman is an ardent devotee of Lord Rama. He is primarily worshiped for physical and mental strength, success and victory in endeavours, progress and growth and knowledge and intellect.
