Daan Dakshina

Gautran Daan means donation done for feeding of cows for a set period of time. Gautran Daan is a Vedic ritual highly glorified in scriptures. In the Srimad Bhagavatam, Lord Krishna has stated that caring for and feeding cows grass and grains is equivalent to worship offered to Him and respecting cows is the same as honouring Him.
