Siddhivinayak Temple is the most prominent Lord Ganesha temple in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. The temple was constructed in the year 1801. Here along with Lord Ganesha Idol that has been carved from a single black stone, idols of His consorts Riddhi and Siddhi which means success and prosperity are also installed. The idol of Lord Ganesha at the Siddhivinayak Temple is Chaturbhuj (meaning with four hands), where the upper right hand hold a lotus, upper left hand holds an axe while the lower right hand holds a rosary (japmala) and lower left hand holds a bowl full of Modak. The Ganesha Idol also has a third eye and a snake resembling the sacred thread across His left shoulder to right side belly. It is believed that Lord Ganesha of Siddhivinayak Temple fulfils all wishes of devotees who worship Him and ask for the said blessings with a pure heart.
