Goddess Durga is a warrior Goddess who is primarily worshipped for power, victory over enemies, prosperity and success. In Sanskrit the word Durga means invincible or unassailable. Devi Durga, also known as Dasha Bhujha and is depicted as holding ten weapons in her ten hands while mounted on a tiger or lion. Navratri celebrates the victory of good over evil.
