Holi or the festival of colors is a widely celebrated festival that symbolizes the victory of good over evil. It is celebrated on the Purnima (full moon day) of the Phalguna month also known as Vasant Purnima as per the Hindu lunar calendar which is around March as per the Gregorian calendar. On this day Holika Dahan is celebrated with lighting up of bonfires and on the next day Rang Panchami is observed. There are several stories and legends associated with the Holi festival, the primary one being that of Prahlad and the demoness Holika. The festival is also associated with Lord Krishna and Radha. The festival of Holi also marks the arrival of spring and beginning of the harvest season, making it a time for prosperity and gratitude. Holi is marked by playful festivities, where people throw water, water balloons and colored powders (gulal) at each other, dance, sing and enjoy festive foods.

Holi Puja is conducted to celebrate the sacred festival and seek Divine blessings of Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna and Maa Radha. In 2025, Holika Dahan will be celebrated on 13th March 2025 (Thursday) followed by the Rang Panchami celebrations on 14th March 2025. The Holi Puja blesses devotees with peace of mind, protection and cordial relationships. Holi Puja helps destroy all negativities and usher positivity and auspiciousness. It helps destroy all vices and obstacles from a devotee’s life. It is believed that by performing this puja, one can overcome personal struggles, negative emotions and adversities allowing for a fresh start and a sense of renewal. The Holi Puja is performed to seek Divine blessings of wealth, success, and prosperity. It is believed that the Puja rituals bestow both material and spiritual abundance.
