Goddess Durga Pujas

Goddess Siddhidatri is ninth amongst the Navdurga Goddesses. She is worshipped on the ninth day of Navratri festival, which is also known as Navami. The name is Siddhidatri means the one who blesses with Siddhi or powers. Goddess Siddhidatri is worshipped for 26 different Siddhis that is 26 different powers or desires/wishes. Goddess Siddhidatri is a serene and compassionate Goddess, often depicted seating on a lotus with four arms holding mace, lotus, discus and conch. She is the consort of Lord Shiva in His Maheshwara form. Her blessings fulfil all desires of Her devotes and bestow spiritual augmentation. Goddess Siddhidatri is also worshipped for knowledge, luxury and wealth. Goddess Siddhidatri is also worshiped to pacify malefic effects of Planet Ketu.

Also Adi Shakti in Her Siddhidatri form converted half of Lord Shiva's body into that of a woman’s body, giving Him the Ardhanarishwar form, which helped Lord Brahma in all creation.
